Jr. High: Can we hub and spoke grassroots development?

Pittsburgh is a city that has a topography, hydrography, geology, logistics, bridge and tunnel issue.

Player development in soccer is just like the public education system. You player development tends to differ based on where you are located in the region and how much your local municipality is willing to invest.

What if we created a hub and spoke approach to get everybody started no matter where you live in Western PA. What if all communities realized that any soccer is better than no soccer and keeping kids local and creating a designed environment to encourage open playing from 7-19. The game doesn’t care whether you play 5-a-side, 7v7, full field 11v11, futsal, dasher board or whatever version of the game. As long as you kick a ball into a goal, you are developing.
