Foam Rolling- Overview

A few weeks ago the boosters asked if there was anything we needed for the season and the first thing that came to mind was foam rollers. In 2017 at Greensburg
Salem I lost two foam rollers to my team. We focused on stretching, foam rolling and active recovery during the off days in season. I was lucky and and had an excellent team of athletic trainers who would walk all of the athletes through foam rolling so all we had to do was encourage the players to use them before stepping on the field. I’ve been using these two physical therapists to explain body mechanics and recovery tools through our stay at home orders during the early part of the pandemic and thought this overview would be a good starting point. Foam Rolling is our friend during the condensed season.
