In the Commonwealth knowing that an adult physically assaulted a minor, I would be required to not only report the red card to the league but file a report with PA Childline at 1-800-932-0313.
All US Soccer licensed coaches in Pennsylvania are required post-Jerry Sandusky to maintain child abuse clearances, a PA State Police Background Check, FBI Fingerprint Check and SafeSport Certifications. Any adult on minor abuse requires a report to not only ChildLine but also SafeSport.
Why do I bring this up? Let’s look at this video and discuss what is considered violent conduct according to the Laws of the Game. This is the last time a player was sent off for striking his own teammate in the Premier League.
Yes you can be sent off for violent conduct if you strike your own teammate.
